Type of organisation: NGO - 600 million people in sub-Saharan Africa have no access to electricity - women bear the huge burden of this energy poverty and disproportionately shoulder the harmful effects of climate change - Solar Sister provides women with economic opportunity, training and support to distribute clean energy to underserved communities in Africa. - We have launched over 3,000 sustainable businesses providing clean energy to over one million Africans.
