Project Description

The main objective of this project is to improve the rural livelihood through dissemination of domestic biogas technology and solar PV. Therefore, the students of the College of Agriculture at Hawassa University will be involved in the construction of those renewable energy facilities. Small scale domestic biogas can be used for lighting as well as cooking and will be installed direktly at the backyard of the cooperating farmers. With this model studets can gain expiriences and farms can benefit from those new facilities at the same time. The project will contribute to the resolution of the energy crisis Ethiopia is suffering from.
