This page provides all information on the Small Project Fund. If you are interested to apply for the small project fund, please find here information on the Application Procedure, the Conditions and Criteria and Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS). All ongoing and completed projects from the small project fund can be browsed in the project database below. Please submit project outlines to buergerenergie@giz.de.

Application Procedure

The application procedure for the small project fund consists of two phases: the project outline and the full proposal.

File:GB-KPF Flowchart-extern.pdf

The application starts with writing down a good project idea into the form of the project outline.

Completed project outlines have to be submitted to buergerenergie@giz.de. Based on this outline document, the first decision is taken by an ad-hoc steering committee of the BMZ. The decision-making is focussed mainly on the conditions and criteria as the frame of the small project fund. Inadequate project outlines will be rejected after the meeting of the ad-hoc steering committee.

In the second step, all other projects will be asked to hand in their full proposals. It must include answers to requests from the ad-hoc steering committee. The positive second decision leads to contract negotiations or rejection if the project can not be funded through the small project fund. The full proposal will be one part of the contract.

After the contract signing, implementation can start. In the end, an evaluation is mandatory.
