 As part of its strategy to develop renewable energy projects, the European industrial initiative Dii (Desertec industrial initiative) plans to promote the implementation of several large-scale projects in the MENA region (Middle East North Africa). The realization of these projects requires the establishment of a set of technical and regulatory prerequisites. Dii intends to carry out a prefeasibility study for the implementation of a 1000 MW Renewable Energy pilot project, in Tunisia. Tunisia's ambitions and Dii’s objectives may converge to promote projects of mutual interest.
